Zojirushi BB-HAC10 Home Bakery Programmable Mini Bread Maker

I usually do quite a lot of research online before I buy anything, especially if it’s over fifty dollars.   I read the reviews, I compare features and I select a few brands and then make my choice.  I knew I wanted a bread maker because I’ve had some of the best homemade bread I’ve ever tasted from her Zojirushi breadmaker.  I love fresh made bread.  I was looking for a machine that would stay with me for a long time do everyting I needed.  Her Zojirushi bread maker works flawlessly but she has a big family but I live alone and I really don’t need the large size loaves so I zeroed in on this model and this is the one.  It’s fantastic!

Features

  • Makes 1 pound loaves bread and can do cakes the same size
  • Complete programs for breads, cookies, pasta dough, jams and a quick bak cycle
  • Delay timer, view window, and a carrying handle
  • 2 nonstick kneading blads and nonstick baking pan
  • Measures 8 by 11 by 12 inches; 1-year warranty

Design

Zojirushi BB-HAC10 home bakery 1-pound-loaf programmable mini breadmaker has the usual top quality construction and design that Japanese appliance manufacturers are known for.   I like quality construction in appliances because I intend to keep them for a long time and not replace them with the latest models.  It comes with the usual nonstick baking pan and kneading blades [2] which are durable clean up in a minute.  The LCD display panel is large and easy to read and the buttons are large also and well-marked.   For me, one of the best things about this model is the small amount of space it takes on the kitchen countertop.  This is because it is designed vertically and takes up much less space than similarly priced models I researched online at Dough Bread Makers.  I have a small kitchen and counter space is limited so if you are like me you this bread maker will not take up valuable space.  There’s also a convenient handle for carrying it to a potluck or a friend’s house.

Pros

The things I like the best about this bread maker are:

  • Nice compact size, fits easily on my small apartment kitchen counter
  • 1 Lb. loaf size is perfect
  • The alert sound that the bread is done is not too loud or annoying
  • I can use it to make cake, pizza dough, and crusty French bread
  • The controls for baking these are all preprogrammed and I just need to choose the setting
  • It’s quiet.

Cons

You should be aware that the loaf is a small vertical shape and the top will be round for about a quarter of the way down the loaf.  Also, the paddle bakes into the bottom slice and leaves a hole in it.  It’s a little wasteful but I don’t think it’s much of a downside.

Conclusion

Zojirushi BB-HAC10 home bakery 1-pound-loaf programmable mini breadmaker is a great little bread maker perfect for singles or couple and just right for small kitchens.   It makes delicious bread and if you have the inclination you can experiment with special breads with no trouble.
